Welcome

I'm Gareth.  I've worked in Ad Tech for 13 years, in fact it's the only industry I've ever worked in.  I've started and sold two ad tech startups, run product divisions, and chaired Prebid.JS.  I also like things besides ad tech, in no particular order : 

• nine inch nails and death metal (i was a touring musician in high school)

• all things japan, china, and east asia (I studied abroad in beijing)

• rock climbing

• muay thai

• science fiction

• my wife and two wonderful and blissfully exhausting children

The point of this blog is for me to rant and rave about things I see commonly discussed but rarely understood.  I hope you enjoy it and find it informative.​
